Over 30 years of construction and development (1984-2014), Khanh Hoa Economics School, formerly Phu Khanh Economics High School, has steadily developed with much improvement in learner-centered teaching and learning quality, according to Nguyen Tien Loi, Principal of Khanh Hoa Economics School.

Favorable conditions have been created for its teaching staff to raise their professional knowledge and skills and do scientific research. The school has had 8 nationally recognized excellent teachers and 16 provincially recognized excellent ones, 70% of whom have earned graduate diplomas.
In addition, infrastructures have much improved. A new 4-story building with over 10 classrooms has just put into use.

In early 2014, much investment was poured into a lab and a computer room with 40 computers worth nearly VND1 billion. In addition, to meet a wide variety of learners’ need, the school has enhanced and extended training to 9 specialties, apart from its finance and accounting studies.

The school has frequently applied information technology into teaching and management such as using software in training and staff management; setting up a website as a resource for up-to-date information for teachers and students.

According to Phan Van Dung, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training, Khanh Hoa Economics School has contributed greatly to accounting and financial staffing in Khanh Hoa Province, the Central Region and the Highlands.

Its training size has increased by 5 times with an annual enrollment of nearly 1,000. Over the past 30 years, vocational certificates in accounting, finance, banking, computer science and silviculture have been conferred upon 10,000 students.

Besides, the school has linked with Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Central University of Construction to provide undergraduate programs for over 1,200 people.

Moreover, fostering courses have been held on economics and taxation management for thousands of officials. Furthermore, many charitable activities are organized every year to help disabled children, the visually-impaired, Agent orange victims, etc.

The school has been awarded many certificates of merit for its achievements by the Ministry of Education & Training and Khanh Hoa People’s Committee. In 2010, the school had an honor to receive a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister and its Youth Union was granted a certificate of merit by the National Youth Union.

Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has just given approval to the grant of 7.2 ha of land in Cam Ranh City for the construction of the 2nd location of Khanh Hoa Economics School, bringing the total area of the school to 8.6ha.
