State President Truong Tan Sang visited some fishermen in Phuoc Dong Commune, Nha Trang City; Hon Ro Fishing Port and Nha Trang University’s Institute for Ship Research & Development. The State President’s accompanying delegation included Nguyen Chien Thang, Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee; and Le Duc Vinh, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee.

The State President visited a fisherman named Tran Van Dat, Deputy Chairman of Phuoc Dong Commune Fisheries Trade Union in Thanh Dat Village, Phuoc Dong Commune. President Truong Tan Sang toured Hon Ro fishing village in Nha Trang City, where he discussed with local fishermen about existing obstacles facing them in offshore fishing activities and in the implementation of newly-issued fisheries policies, especially Decree 67.

 

On this occasion, President Truong Tan Sang paid a visit to Nha Trang University’s Institute for Ship Research & Development, which is building a number of composite fishing ships. The leader learned more about fishermen’s interest, concerns and expectations; and asked Khanh Hoa leaders to cooperate with the Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development to tackle and lift some barriers.
