The Vietnam Coast Guard’s vessel 9002 successfully rescued a Chinese fishing vessel Jihang in Vietnam's waters on December 24.

The Chinese fishing vessel with 6 crew on board was found drifting at around 28 nautical miles northeast of Van Phong Bay. Local authorities provided the fishermen food, medical aid and necessities and then towed the vessel ashore safely.
