Nha Trang City People’s Committee has approved some streets and pavements for the display of flowers for sale on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2015, according to Ngo Khac Thinh, Deputy Chief of Nha Trang City Urban Management Office.
Accordingly, the area for the display of New Year flower and bonsai includes such streets as Pasteur, Han Thuyen, Le Loi, Phan Chu Trinh, Ngo Quyen, Hoang Van Thu, Ly Thanh Ton, Le Thanh Ton, Nguyen Trai, To Hien Thanh, Nguyen Thien Thuat, Dinh Tien Hoang, Quang Trung, Nguyen Tat Thanh, Vo Thi Sau, Da Tuong; the zone in front of the Cotton Company, Nha Trang Seafoods F17 Company and SOS Children’s Village.
The vehicle-keeping area includes the pavements in front of the building of Khanh Hoa Department of Taxation, the office complex on Phan Chu Trinh Street and Ngo Quyen Street, near the main gate of Khanh Hoa Post Office, Thai Nguyen Street (Children’s House), Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Apartment A and B at Dam Market, Sinh Trung Street and the internal area of Dam Market Apartment.
The planning aims to facilitate New Year shopping and create a connection route to the 2015 Spring Flower Festival at Yen Phi Park. The locations are scheduled to open to public on February 3-18 (or from the 15th to 30th day of the last lunar month).
To assure traffic safety during the Tet Festival, Nha Trang City People’s Committee has directed people’s committees of communes and wards to build plans on patrols to prevent violations of pavement and road encroachment; illegal use, storage, sales and import of firecrackers.
The Urban Management Office has launched a concentrated inspection campaign to prevent pavement and road encroachment on 12 main streets, including Le Thanh Ton, Hung Vuong, Thong Nhat, Quang Trung, Thai Nguyen, Le Thanh Phuong, Yersin, Ly Thanh Ton, Nguyen Trai, Ngo Gia Tu, Nguyen Thien Thuat and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai; and maintain traffic safety for the celebration of cultural and entertaining activities.
Nha Trang City Public Security has enhanced propaganda and inspection to prevent speeding, reckless and drunk driving as well as violations based on the condition or status of vehicles. Inspection plans have been made by Nha Trang Bay Management Board to assure tourist boats satisfy equipment requirement for life-jackets and buoys, etc.
