700 young people and students from colleges, universities, agencies and organizations in Khanh Hoa Province joined the voluntary blood donation festival “Red Sunday” launched at Nha Trang Teacher Training College on January 25. Over 500 units of blood were donated.

Initiated in Hanoi in 2009, the blood donation campaign is held by Tien Phong Newspaper in association with the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Administration of Medical Examination & Treatment and the National Institute of Hematology & Blood Transfusion.
This year’s festival is scheduled to be held in 18 provinces and cities nationwide with 29 blood donation locations on January 25 and February 1. 15,000 units of blood are expected to be given.
