Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Khanh Hoa Department of Natural Resources & Environment jointly held the first international workshop on Sustainable Development & Disaster Risk Management. 110 Vietnamese and Japanese professors and scientists attended the event.
Presentations were on marine disaster and climate change in Vietnam; effective coastal management for sustainable tourism development in Nha Trang City, challenges of climate change facing sustainable growth targets in Khanh Hoa, etc. Besides, some soft technologies for sustainable marine development were introduced at the workshop.
