Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Education & Training held a meeting on February 13 for ethnic minority students on the occasion of the lunar New Year 2015.

Present at the event were Le Thanh Quang, Central Party Committee Member, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; and Le Xuan Than, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.
Over the past years, ethnic minority students have benefited from monthly grants worth VND840,000 each for those at college or VND1,050,000 each for those at university, etc.
In 2014-2015 school year, 426 ethnic minority people are reported to study at 34 colleges, universities and vocational schools in Khanh Hoa Province, a 15% increase compared with the year 2013-2014 and 27% increase compared with the 2012-2013. Most of them are Raglai people (68%), followed by Tay, Nung, E de, T’rin and Muong.
On this occasion, 101 outstanding students in the 2013-2014 academic year were awarded by Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.
