Many activities in response to International Day of Happiness

The United Nations celebrated the first International Day of Happiness on March 20, 2013. The International Day of Happiness was celebrated in Vietnam for the first time in 2014 with the theme "Love and Share".

The 2015 celebration in Vietnam continues with the same theme, asking people to make positive connections and share their happiness with others.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has given directions on the celebration of activities to respond to the day such as meetings, conferences, forums, contests, etc. calling for happiness to be given greater priority.

Accordingly, the event is scheduled to run on March 1-29, focusing on the Week of Happiness on March 16-22, according to Ngo Huong, Chief of the Family & Cultural Life Bureau, Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sport & Tourism.

In Khanh Hoa Province, the event focuses on raising awareness of the history and meaning of the special day and activities responding to the event; laws on social security; building happy and healthy families and communities; setting good examples of building happy families and communities; criticizing family violence; encouraging everyone, every individual and organization to take action to improve life quality, build social justice and sustainable development to bring happiness to residents, families and people around.

Especially, in the Week of Happiness, based on actual circumstances, each agency and community can have suitable celebration such as meetings, workshops, talks, forums, contests, sporting and cultural activities featuring the theme of happiness.
