Great effort has been made by the authority and residents in Ninh Diem Ward, Ninh Hoa Town, Khanh Hoa Province to effectively implement the campaign on urban area construction for the past 4 years, bringing satisfactory changes to the young urban community.

This year the image of Ninh Diem has much improved with outstanding achievements in the young urban area construction, contributing to the local socio-economic growth.
In 2014, four residential groups won the title “cultural community” with over 85% households recognized cultural families and over 80% households as cultural families for successive 3 years. To create a civic culture and raise awareness about environmental protection, the ward in association with Ninh Hoa Town urban security management team built plans on inspection to prevent violations of pavement and road encroachment; illegal construction, etc...
Information related to urban area construction and development campaigns; laws and the Government’s polices were publicized to all families and residential groups.
Last year, the ward completed giving names to streets; putting numbers on houses situated on Le Hong Phong Street and Hong Khoi Street; concreting lanes; installing water supply, lighting systems, firefighting equipment; building water storage ponds for fire firefighting at Ninh Diem Market, 4 well-equipped cultural houses at 4 residential communities; renovating the Heroic Martyr Memorial and Phu Tho Temple historical site.
The local Real Estate Agency processed 48 dossiers on land transfer, 45 on land split, etc. In addition, many environmental activities were held to raise public awareness of environmental protection such as Green Sunday, growing roadside trees, keeping green space in residential areas and so on.
Local agencies and schools actively responded to the campaign on a green, clean and beautiful environment. 100% of local residents have access to safe drinking water. The local residents’ living standard has much improved. The coastal ward saw its mainstay such as salt production, fishing and aquaculture industries actually thriving.
Local residents produced 8,500 tons of salt, reached 240 tons of aquatic products, 6,000 livestock in 2014, contributing VND6.5 billion to the State budget, achieving 98% of the target. Work opportunities were created for 172 people and vocational training provided for 213.
The campaign on urban construction and development has gained much achievement thanks to the joint effort made by local authorities and residents, contributing greatly to the development of Ninh Hoa Town.
