Nha Trang University in association with NORHED opened the first International Master Program in Marine Ecosystem Management and Climate Change on April 25.

Associate Professor - PhD Nguyen Thi Kim Anh, Director of the Master program says the course has 16 students from Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Liberia; and lecturers from universities in Norway, the USA, Indonesia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

The course is designed to improve teaching and research skills in marine ecosystem management and climate change for universities in developing countries. The students will be awarded MA degrees in marine ecosystem management and climate change after the course.

Reportedly, Nha Trang University is the main partner together with University of Tromso, University of Bergen and University of Ruhuna in the development of the NORHED project, which is also expected to help Nha Trang University in its post graduate programs in marine ecosystem management and climate change.
