Over the past years, thanks to the financial assistance from many banks, several poor families have had decent, safe places to live.

Tran Thi Thao, a poor resident in Tan Hai Village, Cam Hai Tay Commune, Cam Lam District, was offered a grant of VND40 million donated by staff of Agribank Khanh Hoa Branch in 2014. Besides, Agribank Cam Lam Branch and local authority offered her family a television and an electric fan. “My family is so grateful to the support of the bank,” she says.

Another beneficiary from the BIDV housing fund was Huynh Thanh Ha, Ngoc Hiep Ward, Nha Trang City. This was one of the houses funded by BIDV for repair (20 houses, VND20 million each) and construction (11 houses, VND50 million each) in 2014.

Tran Thi Thao and Huynh Thanh Ha were among beneficiaries from the housing fund donated by banks for house repair and construction in Khanh Hoa Province.

Reportedly, 273 families in Van Ninh District and 13 others in Ninh Hoa Town received housing support from Agribank. Most of the houses financed for construction were 30-70m2.

Tran Thi Thanh Tam, Tan Duc Tay Village, Van Luong Commune, Van Ninh District was so happy to live in a new house worth VDN80 million. Paralyzed at birth, the woman suffered from great financial problems. “In my old dilapidated house, everything leaked in our house in rain. Now, I can have a new house thanks to the banking aid,” says Tran Thi Thanh Tam.

For many years, Agribank Khanh Hoa Branch has mobilized its staff to donate to the housing fund for the poor. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Chairman of Agribank Khanh Hoa Branch says in 2014, VND200 million was raised for the construction of 5 houses. Since 2002, the branch has funded 53 houses worth VND1.7 billion in total for the needy. More new houses are built, bringing happiness to more families every year.

Huynh Thi Phuong, Vice-Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee says the provincial Fatherland Front Committee at all levels has paid concern to raising housing fund for the needy.
Over the past years, banks have made significant contribution to Khanh Hoa Fatherland Front Committee’s fund for the poor.

Since 2012, Vietinbank has provided VND20 billion for the construction of 970 houses and Agribank VND10 billion for 286 houses. Many bank branches have joined effort in raising housing fund for poor, benefiting more and more families in need.
