More and more foreign language teaching centers have opened in Khanh Hoa Province. According to the Division of Professional & Regular Education (Khanh Hoa Provincial Education & Training), Khanh Hoa has 68 licensed foreign language centers, 3/4 of which are located in Nha Trang City at present.

To attract learners, the centers continuously improve their teaching curricula and materials to meet national and international criteria; invest in multi-media equipment, recruit foreign teachers, etc. Tuitions range from VND200,000 to VND250,000/ month.

Especially, the demand for English language courses often increases significantly in summer. Therefore, many centers offer special summer promotion such as tuition discount and interesting extracurricular activities to draw learners.

Pham Thanh Tung, Director of North-Europe International Language School (NEILS), 2-4 Street, Nha Trang City says, “We offer discount for disadvantaged children, excellent students recommended by Nha Trang University and Vinh Hoa Ward People’s Committee, etc. The center gives 5 - 50% discount on tuition, offers textbooks for beginners and scholarships to excellent students.

In summer, Tri Viet Foreign language, Ly Thanh Ton Street has free courses on pronunciation and grammar revision. Outdoor activities and picnics are also held. Blue Ocean Center on Cu Chi Street offers 20% discount to siblings.

According to Tran Ngoc Anh, Head of Division of Professional & Regular Education, there are many foreign language centers, meeting the demand in Nha Trang City. Only well-equipped centers with sufficient conditions for teaching and learning are licensed.

Reportedly, Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training in cooperation with Khanh Hoa Public Security and Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs has carried out routine inspections of training content, management and license at foreign language centers.

“If any foreign language centers violate regulations by the Ministry of Education & Training and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs, their licenses will be revoked,” warns Tran Ngoc Anh.

Besides, the foreign language workshops will be organized to create opportunities for foreign language centers to exchange experience in educational management and teaching.
