On May 7, Nha Trang City Red Cross held a ceremony to mark the 152nd anniversary of the International Red Cross (May 8, 1963-2015).
The representatives reviewed the establishment and development process of the International Red Cross. At present, Nha Trang Red Cross has more than 17,000 members with 34 Red Cross organizations, 81 young vanguard teams, 61 young volunteers’ groups, 27 volunteers’ clubs and 81 first aid locations.
Since the beginning of the year, many medical charity trips have been made with free medicines given to nearly 500 patients. Besides, thousands of gifts have been offered to the needy. Hundreds of members have also joined blood donation, etc. The charity has reached over VND3 billion in total.
