According to Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs, the 2015 Action Month for Children themed “Listening to children” is scheduled to take place on June 1-30.
There will be many activities to raise public awareness of children’s rights as well as enhance social child care and education to ensure a safe and sound environment for children's development; provide opportunities for them to share their knowledge and ideas about related issues; minimize child abuse and violence; implement policies and programs related to children issues; encourage the community to join effort to improve living conditions and create opportunities for kids to live in a safe and healthy environment, minimize child injuries, labor abuse and law violation due to neglect of care, education and protection from families, schools and local authorities.
The 2015 Action Month for Children themed “Listening to children” is scheduled to take place on June 1-30. Accordingly, there will be many activities such as children’s forums, scholarship and gift presentation for those in need and in remote areas, life skill classes, swimming courses, entertaining activities etc in order to assure a fun and healthy summer holiday for kids.
Besides, local authorities will enhance propaganda to raise public awareness of child care responsibilities; provide opportunities for kids to speak out their ideas and suggestions on related issues in an effort to maintain a protective environment to prevent children from violence and abuse risks, minimize child injuries, labor abuse and law violation.
For a successful action month, local authorities are required to closely follow the scheme and direction of Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs to effectively organize activities; supervise and support activities in wards, communes and towns.
Besides, propaganda on child education, care and education must be featured in the youth volunteer and youth volunteer campaigns in 2015. Especially, concerted direction of the youth union all levels is required to reach the targets as planned. Summer activities are expected to be full of fun and excitement and adaptable to actual situations.
