Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has agreed to allocate VND492.5 billion from the central standby budget in 2015 to 36 localities nationwide to cope with drought and salt intrusion consequences in the 2014-2015 spring-winter crop.
Khanh Hoa Province alone was approved with VND6.2 billion aid. The Prime Minister asked for the management and use of the support funding in accordance with the present regulations. Local People’s Committees are requested to proactively use the local budgets and other legal capital sources along with the central support budget to effectively cope with the consequences.
