Dao Cong Thien, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee received the Thai delegation of the Ministry of Social Development & Human Security led by Elawat Chandraprasert, Director General of the Department of Public Welfare, Government of Thailand on June 5.

The two partners discussed ethnic minority development policies which have some similarities in the two countries. Much concern has been given on vocational training; educational and medical support; social security; preservation and protection of cultural values in an effort to improve living standard of ethnic minority people.
Dao Cong Thien confirmed considerable concern and care for ethnic minority people with satisfactory achievements in Khanh Hoa and expressed his wish to learn experience from the model on ethnic minority people’s forest protection and ethnological study in Thailand.
