Nha Trang City Youth Union in association with Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs held a forum themed “Listening to children” on June 30. 135 children aged between 12 and 16 attended the event.

The kids were offered presents and joined group discussion on issues related to the law on child protection, care and education; children’s rights and responsibilities; child abuse risks and so on.
Reportedly, there are about 3,235 disadvantaged children in Nha Trang City with severely needy children accounting for 58.1%.
In 2014, many activities for children included home counseling for 600 kids; heart disease screening, orthopedic surgery; education and heath care funding for 1,000 children; gifts for the needy, etc.
In the first 6 months of 2015, 1,350 gifts, 40 scholarships were offered to poor students; and 500 gifts were granted to the needy. Besides, there were various activities in response to the Action Month for Children and the International Children's Day, attracting the participation of more than 20,000 children.
