On July 20, Khanh Hoa held a conference to honor outstanding Catholic individuals and groups, period 2010-2015. Present at the event was Nguyen Chien Thang together with leaders of local departments and agencies.

At present, there are some 121,000 parishioners in Khanh Province. Over the past years, Catholic communities have taken part in local patriotic campaigns and gained satisfactory achievements, contributing greatly to living standard improvement and poverty alleviation.
Many parishioners have been engaged in the donation to the local study promotion funds to help the poor, natural disaster victims, Agent Orange victims, etc.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Chien Thang highly appreciated Catholic communities’ contribution to the local socio-economic development through patriotic movements.
On this occasion, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded outstanding 12 Catholic groups and 25 individuals.
