According to Le Quynh Mai, Vice Director of Ca Pass Investment Joint Stock Company, Co Ma Pass tunnel is expected to open to traffic this September, 2 months ahead of schedule.

At present, the construction is in the finishing phase with the installation of lighting systems, a sub-management house, etc. The 500m tunnel has 2 parallel tunnels, 30m apart, with the designed speed limit of 80km/hour.

Constructed since November 2013, the tunnel is partly under the Ca Pass road tunnel project with an investment of over VND15,600 billion, including VND700 billion in Co Ma tunnel.
