Over the past years, the Trade Union of the culture, sport & tourism industry has held collective bargaining agreement signing ceremonies at 5 companies which have not had trade unions.

Duong Hong Viet, Director of Khatoco - Liberty  Company says, “Liberty Central Nha Trang Hotel was put into operation in May 2015 with more than 190 staff. The collective bargaining agreement is essential to protect laborers’ rights and interests as well as assure their decent living standards. This is employers’ responsibility to create a secure and potentially productive work environment. In the time to come, we plan to focus on organizational tasks for the establishment of a trade union.”
 
Reportedly, the collective bargaining agreement of Khatoco Liberty has been negotiated and highly approved by laborers as it benefits them; for example, laborers are entitled to get a 9% minimum salary increase defined by the Government; 100% pay for probation, 13th month pay, paid lunch worth VNND 26,000/ person, bonus on national holidays, etc.
 
Pham Thi Nhi, a room attendant at Central Nha Trang Hotel says, “The collective bargaining agreement has been a great encouragement to me. I feel safer and more secure at work.” 
 
Bavico International Hotel Nha Trang Company Branch has also signed a collective bargaining agreement which includes 14 contents beneficial to workers. Director Phan Quang Dai, Director says, “Laborers play a vital role in the existence and growth of a company. The collective bargaining agreement is signed to assure laborers’ rights and  interests. At present, we have 154 staff with a monthly income of nearly VND5 million/ person. In the time to come, we continue to provide favorable conditions for employees to improve their professional knowledge and skills.” 
 
Ngo Hong Phuong, a staff at Bavico says, “The collective bargaining agreement with many provisions beneficial to workers has shown the company’s concern over employees’ rights and interests. I feel satisfied to work here and make more contribution to the development of the company.”
 
According to Le Quang Nhat, Vice-Chairman of the Trade Union of the culture, sport & tourism industry, collective bargaining agreements have been signed by 5 companies so far. The effectiveness will be evaluated for expansion to other workplaces.
