Over the past years, parishioners in Khanh Hoa Province have proved their great contribution to local socio-economic growth for a prosperous, happy and peaceful life.

The new bridge over Cai River is built thanks to the financial support of Ngoc Thuy parishioners. 
Ngoc Thuy Parish, Ngoc Hiep Ward, Nha Trang City has 138 families with 2,122 people who mainly live on fishing, farming and retail business. The parishioners have lived in solidarity, contributing to the local security and economic development.
 
Over the past years, Ngoc Thuy Parish has mobilized Catholics to donate over 3,000m2 of land worth over VND457 million to the widening of 6 main roads and 15 lanes. Besides, over VND127 million has been raised to fund the construction of 2 houses for the needy. The scholarship fund has remained for 15 years to benefit good students with a monthly grant of VND150,000 each.
 
Furthermore,  the local funeral fund has raised with  VND50,000 annually contributed by each family to help locals with  funeral  expenses. The self-managed models of waste collection have joined effort to reduce environmental pollution. With practical activities, Ngoc Thuy Parish  was awarded a certificate of merit by the Prime Minister in 2014 and many other certificates of merit by local authorities.
 
The “Study Encouragement Bell” of Hoa Yen Parish in Cam Duc Ward, Cam Lam District is one of the highly appreciated models that have been expanded to many communities in Khanh Hoa Province. The bell always rings at 19:00 to remind students to study and review their school lessons every evening.
 
Besides, Hoa Yen Parish has also mobilized parishioners to apply advanced technology in cultivation and breeding to improve living standards. Over VND4 billion aid and hundreds of square meters of land have been donated to public traffic projects to facilitate travel and transportation of agricultural produces.
 
According to Catholic Priest Nguyen Van Linh, Chairman of the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics, dignitaries and followers in Khanh Hoa have taken part in local patriotic campaigns and gained satisfactory achievements, contributing greatly to local security, living standard improvement and poverty alleviation. Many outstanding Catholic individuals and communities have been honored, contributing to assuring a peaceful and happy environment in the community.
 
According to leaders of the Committee of Khanh Hoa Fatherland Front, over the past years, Catholic groups have mobilized parishioners to keep a happy and peaceful family life and a harmonious community. Besides, they have joined social work to help the disadvantaged with practical activities. On the other hand, the local authorities have shown their concern and created favorable conditions for parishioners to practice their religion as well as participate in economic development activities.
