The Ministry of Education & Training in association with Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training and the Council for Cambridge English Vietnam Examinations held a workshop on August 3-4 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the local CEFR which describes foreign language proficiency at six levels. 80 teachers from foreign language and informatics centers, regular education centers from 16 southern cities and provinces attended the course.
At the event, experts provided information about the communicative English program by the Ministry of Education & Training, CEFR levels and roles, Cambridge English contests; teaching and assessment based on Cambridge English standards.
The event was under the project on teaching and learning foreign languages in the 2008-2020 national education system.
