Ly Tu Trong High School has held a ceremony to open the new school year. Present at the event were Nguyen Chien Thang, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee; leaders of local departments and agencies; and over 1,800 students.

At the ceremony, a representative of the school read the letter sent by State President Truong Tan Sang to educational staff, students, and parents nationwide at the start of the new school-year 2015-2016. Nguyen Chien Thang offered greeting flowers to the school and then beat the drum to start a new school year.
In 2015-2016 academic year, the school welcomes 622 tenth-graders. Its priority include fundamental innovation in educational and training management; reputation establishment, life skill education boost, etc.
Reportedly, in the 2014-2015 school year, Ly Tu Trong High School was awarded a certificate of merit by Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee for its leading position in the educational emulation campaign. Its labor union was awarded an excellent emulation flag by Vietnam General Confederation of Labour. The school had 17.84% students rated “excellent”, 73.34% rated “good” and 95% with 15 marks or higher for the 3 subjects required for university admission.
