Over the past years, Khanh Hoa Educational Trade Union has fulfilled their tasks of improving its members’ mental and material needs.
At present, there are 20,889 educational staff, 74% of whom are female in Khanh Hoa Province. In the 2014-2015 school year, the implementation of policies for the educational personnel was assured. Especially, gifted education teachers and those working in disadvantaged areas benefited from preferential policies. Specifically, high school teachers in the two mountainous districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh were provided allowances of VND700,000/ person/month for their accommodation and gifted education teachers at Le Quy Don High School received allowances equal to 50% of their salaries.

Trade Union members in poverty were provided VND65 million in total and 3 others were offered house construction grant totaling VND135 million. Mutual support and saving funds were founded and unsecured loans were offered as economic opportunities to improve employees’ living standards.
Emulation campaigns, including “Two responsibility” proved effective. 100% of schools held teaching demonstration with over 4,000 periods and 527 teaching initiatives were developed. The movement “Each teacher is a good moral example” continued to expand. Many disadvantaged teachers were highly appreciated for their great effort to overcome difficulties and fulfill their tasks. They won learners’ admiration and became good examples for their students to follow.
In addition, mutual support movements drew large numbers of participants. Many televisions, computers, books, notebooks and clothes worth VND2 billion in total were donated to remote areas. Moreover, VND1.2 billion was donated in response to the program “Beloved Spratly and Paracel Islands” and VND3.5 billion to charity work.
It is vital that Trade Union affiliations determine their positions and responsibilities in each activity and have a good coordination with school managing boards to build school year plans, sign emulation commitments and organize emulation movements, according to Le Hong Tuyen, Chairman of Ninh Hoa Town Educational Trade Union which takes the lead in the 2015 district –level educational trade union bloc.
