On September 5, along with all schools in Khanh Hoa Province, Le Quy Don Gifted School, Nha Trang City, held a ceremony to open the 2015- 2016 school year. Present at the event was Le Thanh Quang, Central Party Committee Member, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council.

In the school year 2014-2015, the school had 906 students. Students graded “excellent” accounted for 49.3% and those graded “good” made up 48.7%. 100% of students passed the 2014-2015 National High School Graduation Exam. 1 candidate achieved 35.25, the highest scores in Khanh Hoa; and 69 others achieved 25 marks or higher (the total marks of 3 subjects for university admission).
In the 2015-2016, the school has 915 students, including 314 tenth-graders. At the opening ceremony, Le Thanh Quang appreciated the achievements made by the school over the past years and suggested that the school would take the lead in the innovation of teaching and learning methods; and reach high results in national and international competitions; sustained its position as one of the leading schools nationwide.
Reportedly, provincial leaders plan to work with Khanh Viet Corporation (the sponsor) on the new school location to assure sufficient infrastructures for knowledge acquisition and physical training.
On this occasion, Sacombank, Khanh Hoa Branch offered 10 scholarships to poor students.
