The vocational training institution has provided training in 4 sectors, including welding, carpentry, civil electrical and plumbing work, for orphans and poor people. The classes are well-equipped with all necessary facilities and staffed with enthusiastic teachers. Trainees are provided uniforms, labor safety clothes, welding goggles and so on.

Le Hung Nghe, Director of SOS Nha Trang Children’s Village says students are provided meals, accommodation, uniforms and vocational training free of charge. Besides, they are offered travel support for their trips back home every week. The 12-month course focuses on practical skills in all 4 sectors. Students are given comments, graded, certified and then given job recommendation at the end of the course. The enrollment announcement is sent to all local communities in Khanh Hoa. The courses are open to disadvantaged students and those with a desire to get vocational education in Khanh Hoa.

Founded in 2012, the Vocational training institution of SOS Nha Trang Children’s Village has provided vocational training for over 50 needy  students. 30 graduates have got stable jobs with an average income of VND3 million/month.

A student named Bui Quang Anh, Dien Dien Commune, Dien Khanh District has learnt at the vocational training institution since the beginning of the year 2015. He has attained basic knowledge about welding, carpentry, civil electrical and plumbing work. Reportedly, in 2014, he passed the entrance exam to Pacific Ocean University  (POU), but his family could not afford his study expenses, so he decided to stop his schooling to work as a mason.

His life has changed when he was recruited to attend the course. "The learning environment here is comfortable and teachers are so caring and supportive, therefore we can understand lessons so easily and quickly. I plan to open a mechanic workshop at home when I finish the course,” he says.

Nguyen Quoc Thien born in Ninh Xuan Commune, Ninh Hoa Town in 1992 says, “This is my second home. We can learn a lot here about both lifestyles and trade. I will try my best to find a job with the knowledge I have learnt here.”

According to Le Hung Nghe, some mechanic workshops and businesses in Khanh Hoa have cooperated with the institution in labor recruitment, thus providing good work opportunities for students after graduation.
