Scientific research in education in Khanh Hoa has much improved, contributing to education efficiency increase.
In the 2014-2015 school year, 43 subsidiaries under Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training registered for scientific research with 527 studies, including 416 initiatives and 111 applied pedagogical scientific ones. 429 applied pedagogical scientific studies, initiatives and scientific articles have been submitted for assessment and approval. Scientific studies increased from 273 studies in the 2012-2013 to 341 in the 2013-2014 school year and the research fields expanded to 17.

According to the assessment by Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training , out of 429 studies, 6 were graded “excellent”, 46 “good” and 46 “qualified”. Many studies have shown sufficient persuasive evidence, illustration and survey results with logical and attractive lay-out. Most of the studies are based on educational management, teaching, learning and other activities at school, contributing to education quality improvement, according to Le Dinh Thuan, Head of Science & Student Affairs Management Office.
Outstanding studies included the compilation of Khanh Hoa history and geography materials for primary schools by Ha Van Thong, Department of Education & Training; warm-up games for the 10th form at Khanh Son Regular Education Center by Tran Thi Kim Xuyen, Khanh Son Regular Education Center; development of local materials about Khanh Hoa history at high schools in Ninh Hoa Town by Nguyen Thi Kim Anh, Nguyen Trai High School; patriotic tradition education at Nguyen Thien Thuat Senior High School through historic characters in Vietnam history from 1945 to 1975 by Nguyen Thi Thanh Van, Nguyen Thien Thuat Senior High School; pronunciation of voiceless consonants in English by Doan Thi Thanh Xuan, Ninh Hoa Town Regular Education Center; learner motivation for the narrative genre class at the 12th form by role-playing by Hoang Thi Thanh, Nguyen Hue High School.
To promote scientific research in education in the 2015 - 2016 school year, the Department of Education plans to continue providing training on applied pedagogical scientific research and initiatives for education and training divisions and their subsidiaries; scientific research professional training for officials and teachers with master's degrees or higher, etc.
The scientific research is required to focus on innovation in educational management, teaching and learning methods; professional development for teaching and management staff; public participation in education; innovation in textbooks, curricula and learner assessment. Especially, the propagation and application of results of scientific research and initiatives are requested to be taken into account via various channels such as websites, workshops, etc.
In addition, researchers are encouraged to get involved in scientific and technological studies at both grassroots and provincial levels to further contribute to the education and training innovation strategy.
