Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union and the Friendship Organizations Union are cooperating in the celebration of the ASEAN +1 Camp Festival themed “We love peace” scheduled to take place on October 24-25.
According to Vo Hoan Hai, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Communist Youth Union, the ASEAN +1 Camp Festival is expected to be organized at Dong Tam Resort, eastern of Tam Island, Nha Trang City with the participation of over 300 campers.
There will be 11 camps under the names of 10 ASEAN countries and 1 camp will be named after France. Campers are outstanding students from universities and colleges in Khanh Hoa, Laotian and Cambodian students.
The ASEAN +1 Camp Festival is in commemoration of the foundation anniversary of the ASEAN Community (December 31, 2015), mark the progress in the relationship among countries; create opportunities for meeting, learning and exchanging experience, and promote the tourist destination of the country and people of Vietnam to young people in other countries.
Besides, the event is also designed to increase the national cooperation; strengthen the friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and other countries, thus opening more opportunities for Vietnamese young people in various sectors in the current integration trend.
Campers are expected to join a musical and musical exchange program; team building games and many other activities to share experience in study and life.
The organizers have worked with relevant agencies to carry out a survey of camp site, prepare sufficient facilities and total up the number of campers.
Especially, detailed plans on medical care and security have been made to assure the festival will go smoothly and successfully. Campers have been chosen from excellent students with great achievements in study and the Youth Union tasks.
