Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training held a creation contest on environmental protection solutions for high school students in Khanh Hoa Province on November 27. The contest received 81 entries by nearly 150 students from 20 high schools.

The entries included 34 scientific and technical products; 22 video clips, 25 photos and writings about environmental issues and solutions.
Prizes were awarded to 44 individuals and 11 groups. 5 first prizes for individuals included the video clip about rubbish by students of Ly Tu Trong High School, Nha Trang City; “smart dustbin” and “automatic fire extinguisher" by Ngo Gia Tu High School, Cam Ranh City; photos “Environment is life” by Nguyen Van Troi High School, Nha Trang City; and mosquito repellent deodorization using extract from Pandan leaves and Basil by Nguyen Trai High School, Ninh Hoa Town. The first team prize went to Ngo Gia Tu High School.
The contest has been held for the first time in order to raise public awareness of environmental resource protection and life skill education.
