The application of information technology has contributed to the State management and administrative reform in Khanh Hoa Province.
According to leaders of Khanh Hoa Information & Communications, information technology infrastructures have much improved. Local area networks are available at 100% of local departments and agencies under Khanh Hoa People’s Committee at province- and district-levels and 70% of People’s Committees at commune-level. 100% of communes are expected to have local area networks by the end of 2015.
Khanh Hoa Wide Area Network (WAN) & Data Center has been upgraded, basically meeting the local joint application development requirement, serving the State management and administrative reform. The applications include the document management and administration software known as E-office; E-file circulation on the electronic one-gate software in resolving administrative procedures; administrative procedure management software; portal software; and public email software.
The development of the joint applications has created much progress in public staff’s awareness and actions, contributing to administrative reform boost management of administrative agencies. 40 provincial agencies, 8 People’s Committees at district level and 137 People’s Committees at commune-level have developed the software Cloud Office, enabling users to manage documents, projects, staff and customer relations in one place.
Particularly, the development of e-files has been enhanced at the Department of Industry & Trade, Department of Transport, Department of Information & Communications, Department of Finance, etc with more than 500 e-files, excluding tax and customs ones.
Nguyen Duy Bac, Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has highly appreciated the information technology application in State management and administrative reform in Khanh Hoa and asked for more effort in upgrading software functions and utilities together with software application training for effective deployment, etc.
