Khanh Hoa University held a ceremony on November 19 to open the 2015-2018 course and mark the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. Present at the event were Le Thanh Quang, Central Party Committee Member, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Le Duc Vinh, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee Chairman; and Le Xuan Than, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council.

The Prime Minister signed a decision on August 3, 2015 to found Khanh Hoa University based on emergence of Nha Trang Teacher Training College and Nha Trang Culture, Art & Tourism College. Khanh Hoa University has 10 functional departments, 7 faculties and 7 centers with 398 staff. In the 2015-2016, the school has more than 4,800 students, including 1,200 freshers.
The operation of Khanh Hoa University is expected to advance Khanh Hoa education, facilitate higher education in Khanh Hoa Province as well as provide high quality human resources to serve the socio-economic development in Khanh Hoa, the South Central Coastal region and the highlands.
On this occasion, the university awarded 15 freshers, 6 groups and 121 individuals for great achievements in the 2014-2015 school year. Besides, 6 enterprises donated VND114 million to the university’s scholarship fund.
