The message of environment and clean water protection has been effectively delivered through the contest held by Chu Van An Junior High School, Khanh Vinh District, about the use and conservation of clean water and sanitation conditions.

3 teams namely “Green planet”, “Green future” and “Green life”, brought to the jury and audience great pleasure and nice surprise with exciting presentation. The greeting performance was so exciting with stories and plays based on myths, legends and real-life experiences, sending meaningful environmental messages.
Not less interesting was the 60-second quick response and a quiz. Many questions related to academic knowledge and real-life expereince were raised such as water filter by traditional methods, waste treatment and classification; cleaning out water containers, etc. Cao Van Long, 6/3 class, says, “The event is an interesting opportunity for us to relax after school as well as get more aware of clean water and environmental issues.”
Principal Huynh Tan Khoi, Chu Van An Junior High School, Khanh Hiep Commune, says local residents depend mainly on water from rivers and streams for consumption. From the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year, the school has implemented many activities to give guidance on personal hygiene and environmental protection at flag salute events and extracurricular activities. Besides, environmental messages, the event is also considered as life skill education designed to help children to develop healthy habits.
Reportedly, the contest is in a series of education activities required by Khanh Hoa Department of Educating & Training on clean water; environmental and personal hygiene in 2015. The propaganda model has been expanded by the Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training to 61 schools, including 16 junior high schools in Khanh Hoa Province.
According to Tran Quang Man, Vice- Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training, the propaganda activities are necessary to raise pubic awareness of environmental awareness, especially among ethnic minority communities and those in remote areas. The students showed their good enviroenemental knowledge and skills. Hopefully, they will become enthusiastic propagandists for clean water and environmental protection.
