Five school bus routes have just been put into operation in Ninh Hoa Town, facilitating the travel of many students and their parents.

Ngoc Thanh, a 12th- grader residing in Ninh Sim Commune says, “I have gone to school by bus for 3 years. It’s very convenient.” Besides Ninh Sim and Ninh Thuong, students and their parents in the communes of Ninh Son and Ninh An are all pleased with the operation of school buses.
Dinh Manh Ha, Village 3, Ninh Son says, “It is about 15km from Ninh Son Commune to Tran Quy Cap High School or Vocational High School. Students and their parents used to travel a long way from home to school and thus some had to rent houses. We are satisfied with the student transport service.”
"Ninh Hoa Town has 27 communes and wards. High schools are located far from the town center. Young people are not allowed to ride motorbikes and it takes them quite a long time to travel by bike. Therefore, In 1998, I decided to buy buses specifically designed and used for carrying students to and from school," says Tran Tuong Long, the owner of the school buses.
At present, 5 buses, including 4 fifty-seat buses and 1 thirty-seat bus, managed by Long and his siblings are operating on the routes Ninh Sim- Ninh Hoa, Ninh Sim- Ninh Phung, Ninh Ich- Ninh Hoa, Ninh Son- Ninh Hoa and Ninh An-Ninh Hoa.
The school buses run four times a day, even at night to transport students to extracurricular activities. School bus tickets are VND240,000/month and VND6,000/ trip with 50% discount offered to needy students.
Tuong Long says, “All of our buses are brand new with weekly maintenance on Sunday. The vehicles are regularly checked by local Auto Register Agency. They meet safety requirement. We plan to provide additional bus services and equip buses with air-conditioners.”
“The school buses provide scheduled public transport, facilitating the travel of students and parents," says Nguyen Duy, Chairman of Ninh Sim Commune People’s Committee. Commander Ho Thanh Thuy, Chief of the Traffic Police Team, Ninh Hoa Town Public Security, confirms, “All the school buses abide by road traffic rules and are put under regular vehicle inspection to ensure their conformity to safety regulations."
