Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment jointly held a ceremony to review the Vietnam Land Administration Project (VLAP) in Khanh Hoa on October 30. Present at the event was Dao Cong Thien, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.
Funded by the World Bank with a total investment of USD9 million, including nearly VND2.4 million from the provincial reciprocal capital, the VLAP has been implemented in 6 communities namely Cam Lam, Van Ninh, Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Cam Ranh and Nha Trang over the past 7 years. Under the VLAP, 100% of the area (48,314 ha) has been measured for cadastral mapping, 287,604 plots (79%) have been registered; 215,399 certificates of land use rights have been issued and 204,179 certificates of land use rights have been given.
The VLAP with three main components, including land registration system modernization, land registration service improvement and project management support has improved the land management system.
At the conference, representatives discussed some issues and suggested that the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment would implement the 2nd phase of the project in the 2 remaining communities, Ninh Hoa and Dien Khanh.
