The Prime Minister has just decided to recognize some administrative units as island communes in the provinces of Khanh Hoa and Kien Giang.
Accordingly, the six island communes in Khanh Hoa province are Cam Binh (Cam Ranh City), Van Thanh (Van Ninh District), Vinh Nguyen (Nha Trang City), Song Tu Tay, Sinh Ton and Truong Sa Town (Khanh Hoa Province).
According to the Prime Minister’s decision, an island commune must satisfy two criteria on natural square and settlement of citizens or armed forces.
