Khanh Hoa Youth Union has just held the 2015 Environmental Protection Propagandist Contest, drawing the participation of nearly 100 propagandists and over 1,500 Youth Union members from universities and colleges in Khanh Hoa Province.

The event featuring meticulous rendition were filled with fun and excitement. The plays by the Youth Union of Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy performed was about forest protection; by Khanh Hoa Medical College about proper destruction of dead poultry, etc.
Amateur actors and actresses from the Youth Union of Pacific Ocean University (POU) played the roles of village elders joining effort in forest protection. Other performances included humorous plays highlighting environmental protection. Le Thi Thu Ai, a student at Khanh Hoa University says, “The contest is very interesting and effective in raising awareness of environmental preservation. I will encourage my friends and relatives to join hands in environmental protection.”
Khanh Hoa Youth Union has organized many practical activities to inspire the community to clean up, fix up and conserve their environment. Hundreds of clean-up campaigns are annually launched together with environmental protection propaganda; advanced scientific and technological transfer in production, contributing to environmental protection, according to Nguyen Trong Trung, Standing Secretary Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union.
“The Environmental Protection Propagandist Contest provides a great opportunity for Youth Union members and young people to learn and promote their environmental propaganda skills to get everyone engaged in environmental protection. In the time to come, more propaganda will be boosted and many other activities will be held to inspire the youth to greater effort in environmental protection,” adds Trung.
The first team prize went to POU with a play themed “Joining hands in forest protection”, the second prize to Nha Trang National College of Pedagogy and third to Khanh Hoa University and Khanh Hoa Medical College.
