Khanh Hoa Labor Confederation has organized many practical activities to improve workers’ living conditions, contributing to promoting its role and responsibility in assuring workers’ legal rights; creating a more harmonious work relationship and environment as well as preventing labor dispute and creating favorable conditions for laborers to enjoy a happy New Year season.
Accordingly, the Trade Union at levels will expand the campaign “Trade unions are present everywhere workers need them”, so that all workers in need can be given timely support, especially on the occasion of the New Year Festival. Besides, the Trade Union will accompany employers to tackle their difficulties to promote production and business; and assure stable income for employees. In addition, Khanh Hoa Labor Confederation plans to give 1,500 New Year presents worth VND300,000-500,000 to workers, according to Nguyen Hoa, Chairman of the Labor Confederation.
Moreover, Khanh Hoa Labor Confederation will provide financial support for the construction of houses for workers in need and organize New Year meetings for those spending Tet holiday far from home at Suoi Dau Industrial Zone; mobilize enterprises to improve care for workers and provide transportation assistance for their trips back home for the New Year Festival. Trade union affiliations will pay visits and offer gifts to poor and sick workers and victims of occupational accidents, etc.
Furthermore, the Trade Union at all levels are required to explore workers' concerns and request in order to jointly solve any problems arising at work to prevent labor dispute and strikes; negotiate with employers over worker concerns such as pay, bonus, and other welfare; supervise salary and bonus payment as well as the application of the new regional minimum salaries for 2016 scheduled to take effective from January 1, 2016; prepare conditions for workers to have a safe and happy national holiday; mobilize benefactors to support the charity program mentioned above to donate 1,500 presents to poor workers.
