Lunar New Year Fair 2016 is scheduled to open at Dam Market, Nha Trang City from the Jan 24th to the Feb 7th or from the 15th to 29th day of the last lunar month. The event aims to meet local shopping and entertainment demands for Tet Holiday, says Nguyen Van Hoi, Deputy Chief of Dam Market Management Board.

There are 40 stalls located in front of Dam Market Trade Center, selling lunar New Year goods, including candies, jam, tea, alcohol, fruits, etc and others for entertainment.
The market management board has cooperated with local authorities to warn sellers not to purchase fake, banned products or use harmful artificial colorings. Inspection will be carried out on pricing, measuring and weighing devices. Unsound games will be banned. Violators will be given punishment.
The management board of the market has had plans to assure safety, environmental hygiene before, during and after the fair. Accordingly, patrols will be made by guards in association with Khanh Hoa military force, Nha Trang City Public Security, vanguard youth, and Public security of Xuong Huan and Van Thanh wards.
Nearly 40 security officials are in charge of assuring the safety for purchasers and revelers. Besides, the Market Management Board frequently asks salesmen to strictly follow fire prevention and control regulations; checks fire pumps, equipment and tanks; and assures enough staff on duty in case of fire.
Besides, clean-up will be enhanced to assure appealing appearance of the fair before, during and after the Lunar New Year’s Eve. 5 staff have been added to the environmental hygiene group. Frequent clean-up will be maintained at the market during the holiday to keep the environment tidy, safe and healthy for the New Year celebration.
