The emergency response team including 10 members under the management of Ninh Hoa Youth Union  was founded on September 22, 2014 by the Central Youth Union.

The team is to respond to any road crashes for first aid, traffic flow distribution, traffic safety propaganda, etc.
The members are members of the local Youth Union, staff at Public security and medical stations. At present, the team is under trail operation in Ninh An Commune where a 24h hotline signboard can be seen.

All the members have been provided first aid and emergency training in response to situations related to traffic accidents. Emergency members are always on standby at the medical station for assistance.

Besides, the team in cooperation with the local police and the Military Staff Committee has joined patrols along the National Road 1A to assist traffic flow distribution and respond swiftly to accidents, especially during peak hours and holidays, says Nguyen Phu An, Deputy Secretary of Ninh Hoa Town Youth Union, Chief of the emergency response team.

“We are on standby for help, even at night. This work is hard but meaningful, so it is worth our effort,” according to Le Quang Hau, Secretary of Ninh An Commune Youth Union, Deputy Chief of the Emergency Response Team.

Since its foundation, the team has timely responded to 7 traffic accidents in Ninh An Commune. In addition, first aid training and traffic safety propaganda have also been focused, particularly at schools to promote models of traffic safety at school gates in order to improve public awareness of road traffic safety. 33 propaganda sessions and 5 training courses have been held for over 800 Youth Union members and young people.

The Emergency Response Team has contributed to raising road safety awareness as well as reducing damages and suffering from traffic accidents.
