The Youth Union Standing Board has enhanced and diversified propaganda activities, attracting the participation of many Youth Union members and young people.

Outstanding activities have included “Young people with traffic culture” Day with safe driving training organized by Vietnam Youth Federation in Nha Trang City. More than 600 young citizens joined the event through problem-solving quizzes, acting, etc. They have become more aware of road traffic rules. The environmental protection propagandist contest held by Khanh Hoa Youth Union has drawn the participation of more than 1,500 young people.

Reportedly, there were 5,000 propaganda drives on the law on drug prevention and control; anti-corruption; military service law and Youth law for more than 300,000 young people from 2011 to the end of 2015.

Particularly, the youth Union branches under Khanh Hoa Public Security have also cooperated in raising young prisoners’ legal awareness to help reduce the rate of re-offending. Lieutenant Nguyen Van Hung says propaganda is given periodically 3 times a year to help the prisoners to make progress and thus more successfully integrate into the community. Some have found jobs thanks to their effort together with support from local residents and authorities.

According to Nguyen Van Nhuan, Khanh Hoa Youth Union Secretary, the law education and propaganda are always focused. 100% of the Youth Union branches at all levels frequently organize law knowledge contests, etc. to raise awareness of law among the youth. The implementation of the Youth task schemes and projects have been effectively integrated, for example, projects on law education for schools; on youth management and education through social networking.

The existing 287,000 young people in Khanh Hoa Province are estimated to increase to 300,000 in the 2016-2020 period and thus more legal education and youth management are required as young citizens are the future of the world and are a driving force to society. Khanh Hoa Youth Union plans to innovate propaganda towards a comprehensive legal education among young citizens, says Nguyen Van Nhuan.
