Recently, Khanh Hoa Border Guard Force held many activities to celebrate the 50th Traditional Day of the provincial Border Guard.
Specifically, the unit focused on implementing the Directive 03 of the Politburo about learning and following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh, Uncle Ho’s teaching towards the border guards as well as emulation movements. The unit organized 16 meetings on political and ideological education for more than 400 officers, Youth Union members and young people; held 14 environmental cleaning spells, joined by nearly 600 people; associated with other units and organizations to plant 450 trees in response to the Tree-planting Festival, and so on.

According to Colonel Vu Thanh Son, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar of the provincial Border Guard, since the end of 2015, the unit held numerous practical emulation sessions, activities and movements, which created an ebullient atmosphere in the whole unit; effectively promoted and up held the production models.
Besides, the units in the force organized many cultural exchanges, cultural and sports activities. For example, Khanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Headquarters held a sport festival to mark the Traditional Day of Border Guard, attracting nearly 150 players; festival of cultural propaganda teams of provincial Border Guard was held with the participation of 13 units performing many interesting items which praised the Communist Party, Uncle Ho and the border soldiers. Especially, many burning problems in the province, such as eliminating drugs, clearance, resettlement, new rural building, and daily questions in the border areas were also mentioned in the items.
Besides, there were some other interesting activities organized, including contest on wall-newspaper and pictorial, photo exhibition, etc.
On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2016, the force’s units visited and presented gifts to the people in the locality. The units have sponsored 52 children who are orphans and children in need. Accordingly, the sponsors offer a financial support of VND500 thousand per month to each sponsored child, helping these children to have better living and learning conditions. “As sponsors, the units always coordinate closely with the families, schools and localities to help and encourage the children to overcome difficulties. Additionally, we also offer them career orientation in order to help them to choose appropriate jobs after graduation,” said Son.
