Khanh Hoa Department of Industry & Trade celebrated a ceremony on March 15 to launch the 2016 Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day. Present at the event was Tran Son Hai, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee.

The leader of Department of Industry & Trade read the Prime Minster’s decision to designate March 15 as the Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day. Representatives of some organizations and businesses, including Khanh Hoa Consumer Protection Association, Xom Moi Market Management Board, Co.opmart Nha Trang and Me Trang Coffee Company made speeches to protest the violation of legal consumer rights, promote consumer protection, etc.
This is the first year the Vietnamese Consumer Rights Day themed “Consumer Rights to Safety” has been celebrated. It is an opportunity to raise public awareness on the importance of protecting the rights and interests of consumers, contributing to creating a healthy consumption environment.
