Khanh Hoa Labor Confederation held a ceremony to mark the 130th International Labor Day (May 1, 1886-2016) and launch the Worker’s Month 2016. Over 300 representatives from local departments, agencies, businesses and the Trade Union organizations attended the event.

The Workers’ Month will be widely celebrated with the theme “The Trade Union accompanies businesses in improving care for employees”, helping businesses to overcome difficulties, mobilizing workers to contribute their initiatives to increase work capacity, expanding Trade Union campaigns, etc.
On this occasion, Khanh Hoa Labor Confederation honored top 20 businesses with excellence in employee benefits; granted housing grants worth VND360 million to 9 needy workers; offered 20 gifts worth VND500,000 each to workers suffering from occupational diseases and accidents; and donated VND16 million relief aid to 2 fishermen and 2 fishing boat owners having had accidents at sea.
