Khanh Hoa General Hospital launched the Save Lives: Clean Your Hands campaign on April 21. Present at the event was Nguyen Dac Tai, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.

After the launching ceremony, nearly 300 staff of Khanh Hoa General Hospital and other hospitals in Khanh Hoa Province performed 6 proper hand washing steps. Besides, representatives of the hospitals signed a pledge on proper hand hygiene practice and propaganda through knowledge competitions on the meaning of the campaign.


The Save Lives: Clean Your Hands campaign, launched by WHO on May 5 2005, is committed to improving hand hygiene practice and maintain the importance of hand hygiene in health care globally.

The event has drawn the participation of over 100 nations with thousands of hospitals. Vietnam joined the program in 2009 and 70 hospitals, including Khanh Hoa General Hospital, have participated in this global movement so far.
