Khanh Hoa Confederation of Labor held a ceremony to honor top 20 businesses with excellence in employee benefits for the first time on April 27. The businesses have been recognized for excellent working conditions for employees to develop themselves personally and professionally.

584 Nha Trang Seafood Joint Stock has focused on assuring laborers’ legal rights. Labor policies and regulations have been abided with much investment in workforce training and development. 40% of its staff have had bachelors’ degrees or masters’ degrees. The average income is over VND9 million/ person/ month. A worker named Hoang Thi Hong says, “I feel pleased with my present workplace here where my benefits, including life insurance are assured.” In addition, the company has a retirement fund worth VND3 billion. When retired, workers are offered savings books in addition to retirement books.
Khanh Hoa Forest & Sea Products Company has also been recognized for its policies beneficial to employees in terms of social insurance, labor safety, etc. Workers are offered lunch grants of VND20,000/ person every day. Each worker can get a monthly salary worth over VND6 million and an annual bonus worth some VND14 million/ person. Waste materials are collected and sold out to raise fund for workers. Cam Lam Green Urban Environment Company has signed a collective labor agreement with nearly 20 items in 10 articles beneficial to workers. Employee benefits include annual life insurance, 50% vacation grant, 30% support for the Trade Union activities, etc.
Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company Material Processing Plant has more than 400 staff. The plant has assured all labor policies and regulations abided to improve workers’ living standard so that they feel secure at work and thus contribute more to the business development. Besides, favorable working conditions and employee benefits have been assured with the construction of dining rooms, a tenement and garages together with the provision of transportation service, sick leave and vacation at home and abroad and so on.
Sao Viet Cashew Processing Company, Van Ninh District has provided work opportunities for 500 people with a monthly income of over VND4 million. The company has a spacious workshop and a medical room where worker can go to rest when feeling faint or seek for health care. Director Le Dinh Nhat Tan says, “The workforce plays a vital role in the business success. We are committed to creating a safe working environment and improving employees’ living standard for the sustainable development of the company.”
The top 20 businesses have been highly appreciated by local departments, agencies and laborers in terms of the implementation of labor polices regulated in the labor Code and the Trade Union law. The businesses have made great effort in improving working environments, building a harmonious relation among business profit, employees’ interests and social benefits for sustainable growth in the development and integration process. The businesses have well abided labor regulations towards the international labor standards, contributing to improving business prestige and images, according to Nguyen Hoa, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Labor Confederation.
In addition, the businesses have considered employees the most valuable properties in the belief that they play a vital role in the sustainable business success. Obviously, providing employees with a dynamic workplace experience and optimal employee benefits results in healthier and more productive employees. Improving laborers’ living standards is the main purpose of the Trade Union. However, the purpose cannot be fully achieved without the effort and support of the employers. “Therefore, the event aims to inspire employers to greater efforts to assure and maintain excellence in the human resource management to better protect their staff’s legal rights and benefits. This event will be expanded and held annually and I hope more companies will be honored,” adds Nguyen Hoa.
