Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature & Environment jointly held ceremonies on May 12 and 13 to recognize 8 Vietnam Heritage Trees in Khanh Hoa Province.
The trees include a 300-year old Dipterocarpus alatus tree in Dien An Commune; a strychnine tree at Am Chua, Dien Dien Commune; 4 Pterocarpus macrocarpus trees at Mieu Ba in Bach Qua, Dien Phu Commune; a Hopea odorata tree at Trung Dong communal house, Van Binh Comune, Van Ninh District; and a Diospyros tree at the Ponagar Temples, Vinh Phuoc Ward, Nha Trang City.
The heritage tree recognition has confirmed the tremendous spiritual, cultural, historical and environmental significance in Khanh Hoa Province.
