Khanh Hoa Rehabilitation Education Center for Disabled Children has held a ceremony to summarize the school year 2015-2016 and mark the International Children’s Day (June 1).
136 children, including 100 with mental retardation and 36 with hearing impairments were in the care of Khanh Hoa Rehabilitation & Education Center for Disabled Children in the school year 2015-2016. 53 primary-aged children (accounting for 98,1%) met requirement with 20 students (37,7%) awarded for their excellent school performance. Nursery-aged students with hearing impairments were graded excellent (42.9%) and good 28.6%. Nursery-aged students with mental retardation were graded excellent 47.4% and good 46.1%.
Reportedly, 95 children were offered monthly nurture grants ranging from VND150,000 to VND580,000 funded by individuals and organizations at home and abroad.
