Vice-Chairman of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Tran Van Ly together with a mission paid a visit to cadres, soldiers and residents on the Southwest Cay, the Spratly Islands on May 14. An opening ceremony for the Southwest Cay Policlinic was held by the General Confederation of Labor on this occasion.
Southwest Cay Policlinic started construction in August 2015. The 3-storey construction with 20 patient rooms was funded by Vietnam General Confederation of Labor seeking donations from laborers and people nationwide.
The policlinic is to serve medical demand of residents and soldiers on the Southwest Cay and fishermen suffering from diseases and accidents on the Spratly Islands.
At the event, Le Xuan Hai, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Confederation of Labor offered a gift to the Southwest Cay Commune Trade Union.
