Tran Son Hai, Permanent Deputy Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, received Parvathaneni Harish, Ambassador of India to Vietnam on June 24.

Tran Son Hai introduced about the provincial outstanding socio-economic achievements and potentials and expressed his hope that Parvathaneni Harish would provide a link for Indian and Vietnamese businesses to cooperate in such potential sectors as education, heath care, information technology and tourism.
 
Parvathaneni Harish highly appreciated economic potentials of Khanh Hoa, particularly in tourism. The Ambassador also expressed his interest in the culture in Nha Trang City where the remains of Cham culture (with many similarities to Indian culture) are kept and preserved; and promised promoting Khanh Hoa tourism to Indian visitors. 
 
In 2017, Vietnam and Indian will celebrate their 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations and 10th anniversary of establishment of strategic partnership. The two countries will have many exchange and economic cooperation programs and thus more Indian businesses will know about Khanh Hoa Province.
 
At present, 9 businesses in Khanh Hoa are involved in exports to India with an export turnover of nearly USD3.7 million and 17 businesses are importing Indian goods to Khanh Hoa with an export turnover of nearly USD10.9 million. Khanh Hoa received 823 Indian tourist arrivals, accounting for 0.08% of international visitors to Khanh Hoa in 2015.
