The Central Youth Union opened an English Speaking Contest with the participation of 59 candidates from 59 provinces and cities nationwide on June 28 within the 6th Children’s Festival.

The speaking topics were Vietnamese country and people. Besides, constants had to give answers to the panel of examiners’ questions.
Reportedly, the English Speaking Contest is a new activity in the National Children’s Festival in order to provide an environment for children to meet, learn and promote their English skills; discover and promote talents; as well as contribute to promoting learning in general, teaching and learning English in particular.
